This is an extra theme choice that is a very wide round vase. It features a foot ring and wide lip.i chose to glaze the inside in solid green, and the outside I used a splatter paint of the same color.
This is my 3rd theme choice. It's the biggest bowl I made yet and I love it! I gave the bowl some subtle ridges but the glaze is a bit to thick to see it, but they're fairly noticeable on the inside of the bowl. I wanted to only use one glaze so that the ridges on the bowl would stand out, but I either should have glazed it thinner or used clear. I do really like the size and shape though and think it's very useful. This is my theme choice 2 project. It's a medium sized bowl with a slightly out turned lip. It also features a foot ring. I glazed it in the very dark blue, and the sandy white. I intentionally made them have a little uneven overlap so it wasn't so half and half. I love the shape that the glaze took on in the middle. It creates a movement and comparison. This is my lidded project. The vase is medium sized and features a foot. The lid I made on the same day and they are both glazed in a light green. My lid is just barley to big but it still fits pretty well and looks nice. I wanted to make the glaze and lid simple so that the ridges on the bottom of the vase would stand out more. I like the movement of the throwing and pulling marks. These are my two wheel thrown plates. I put a pumpkin on one of them for the fall season. I drew it with an understain and then glazed it in clear. It has a very smooth rim. The other plate is a bit larger, but the glaze is not as nice. The rim is also a little sharp, however, the glaze stuck well to it. Both have nice foot rings. This is an extra project i made. It is a wheel thrown vase with a slight lip. I indented my initials into it and used and a stain to make them pink. It also features a nice foot. I also like the clear glaze over the pink and made it specifically for my room. I made this extra project at the beggining of the year, and was going to use it for my wheel altered, but I ended up making a gravey boat that I liked more. This bowl is pinched on the sides and looks like a bow. It's glazed in blue and clear and that add visual interest and compliments the shape of the bowl. My wide project is a short bowl with a wide lip. I glazed it in shadow green on the inside and white on the outside to add contrast. It's not the biggest project, but it fits well on a side table. My choice project is a tall vase with an altered lip. I also used a tool to make little marks at the base of the lip. I glazed it in green and clear, and I think the contrast if very nice. My wheel altered project is a gravey boat! It's a wheel thrown bowl, shaped into heart shape. I also added a handle withe embellishments. The embellishment are little decorative squares at the bottom that pop out and there is also one on top of the handle. The inside is glazed in shadow green and the outside it glazed In clear. |
