This is the hand and wheel project I made! I footed the cup and added the handle and the vine twists around the handle. I chose to use the black stain for the vines and added the black dashes for texture
This is my teapot! It has a nice spout, a lid and a handle. I continued my theme of color block and I love the way the glaze looks complex but is still only two glazes This is my wheel altered project. I made it a wide pitcher and I really like this one! I made a pulled handle for it as well. I glazed it in green and blue and the green kind of dripped down into the blue and created a cool effect. The contrast between the glazed makes the piece more interesting . This is an extra project I made. I actually like how it turned out. The shape of the bowl is different than I would normally do but I like the variation. I like how the glaze turned out too. I glazed the inside in scrap green and the outside in clear and then added the drips of the scrap green. This is another theme choice. It is basically a very tall cylinder but I really like how thin I was able to get it. I chose to glaze it in clear and brown and made it a wave on the cylinder. It actually went alright but I'm not a huge fan of the color of brown. I like how complex the glaze looks for only being two colors. This is my lidded project. It is a nice sized vase with a very well fitting lid. It is glazed in 2 different colors of blue. I actually used blue for the inside, top, and lid and the. To make the lighter blue for the bottom I mixed the blue with some white. I did the color blocking thing to go with my theme and I think it turned out really nice. This is my first theme choice. It is a medium sized vas with a very nice lip. I chose to glaze it 2 colors in a color block way to make the glaze look more complex. I really like the wat it turned out. The darker lighter glaze comparison creates an interesting visual effect. Extra bowl! It turned out alright. I like the bowl itself a lot because it has a nice foot and is pulled very evenly. I didn't really like khloe the glaze turned out bit it's not that bad just a bit uneven. I do the the color, the matte teal. My 2 plates turned out very well! My first is a medium sized red clay plate with a really nice even foot. I glazed it in shadow green because that glaze looks really nice on the red clay. The second plate is actually quite large and I was super proud of it. I glazed it all in shadow green, but thought that it look like too much so I wiped it off in a rugged manner at 3 points. I then just added a bit of clear glaze in those spots and was really proud of it. Choice bowl! My bowl is not fired or glazed yet but hopefully by the end of the week the kiln will be fixed. Nice bowl, medium sized. I think I want to glaze it in blue colors. |
