This is my set of 3. They are 2 large bowls and a smaller vase with a lip. One of the bowls is a red clay bowl that is glazed in clear and shadow green. It was the first bowl I made of red clay and it turned out really nice and larger than I expected. The second bowl is regular clay and is also a larger sized bowl. It is glazed in shadow green all on the inside and splattered on the outside. The smaller vase like bowl is glazed in the same way as the previous bowl. I wanted them all to have similar shapes and the glazes are all shadow green and clear.
This is my tall project. It is a cylinder with a slightly out turned Lip. I glazed it in white and blue and it ran in the glaze kiln. It turned out all right though and made a very pretty mixture as it swirled together. I made these to bowls to give to the auction to make money for ceramics. The first one is a very traditional bowl and it's actually pretty big! It's the biggest that I've thrown yet! It's also very centered and has a good foot! The next is more of a tall bowl with a curved lip. It also has a foot and fairly big as well. Choice bowl 1! I really like this bowl because of the glaze. It is glazed in light green and clear and the glaze swoops so it gives it a lot of movement. The lip is also slightly turned out and that also adds to the movement. |
